Hogtropolis and A Weenie Roast…

This weekend we went to Fayetteville to meet my Brother and his family at a tailgate party. We got there around 11, just in time for the game to start. They had two big flat screen TV’s set up, food, drinks, and a bounce around for the kids. It was such a beautiful day to be outside watching the Hogs play…

Later that night we went over to Stuart’s mom’s house for a weenie roast. She has been building a fire pit in her back yard for the past few weeks, and wanted to try it out. The temperature felt great that night, but the wind made it a little challenging to deal with the fire.

We spent Sunday doing work around the house since we played all day Saturday. It was such a fun weekend spent with family. I always wish there was just one more day...weekends are just way to short!!!

Trick or Treat...

This was such a fun Halloween to celebrate with Molly and Taylor. They are at an age where they really “get” what the holidays are all about. They waited all day to put on their costumes so that they could go trick or treating. At about 4 o’clock on Saturday afternoon Taylor came downstairs with her Tinkerbell dress on. She was checking herself out in the mirror and had the cutest smile on her face. I love the expression of a four year olds sheer excitement!

They were both going to go as princesses this year, but Molly decided a few weeks ago that she was going to be a kitty cat. Taylor has been dead set on dressing up as tinkerbell.

Stuart dressed both girls in black and then Taylor put back on the Tinkerbell dress. Molly put on her kitty cat ears and we started to head out the door. I noticed that Taylor also had on kitty cat ears and I asked her if she had changed her mind and she said, “I want to be a kitty cat and tinkerbell. But, I’m not going to say meow, I’m just going to do this…” And by this, she did a little twirl.

In the end we painted up Molly’s face and Taylor decided to lose the ears. We headed into my hometown to do a little trick or treating with my brother and his two youngest boys, Seth and Jonah. They were all so excited and looked adorable.

After we finished up with the trick or treating we headed over to my parents house. We were going to surprised them, but then I decided that I should give my mom a heads up since we were planning on staying the night. She didn’t tell my dad that we were coming, so he was pretty surprised when the girls showed up at their door.

We went to church on Sunday morning and then went on a little outing with my parents and my oldest nephew Braden. We went to go visit the Janet Huckabee Nature center. It was pretty neat; they had a lot of fun facts about animals that can be found in Arkansas, they had a few live animals and several stuffed animals.

It was such a fun and beautiful weekend. I love this fall weather, it’s such a nice change from all of the rainy days that we have been having.
